Executive Director

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) will drive strategic vision and operational leadership for Reno First Foundation’s staff, programs, expansion, and mission execution. The successful candidate will develop comprehensive knowledge of local tech ecosystem needs—from startups to established companies—while overseeing core programs, operations, and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

Champion programmatic excellence through rigorous evaluation and consistent quality across finance, administration, fundraising, communications, and systems
Energize and engage the Foundation’s community of volunteers, board members, event committees, alumni, partners, and funders
Foster a strong Board of Directors while serving as ex-officio on all committees; align board involvement with strategic direction for local operations and national expansion
Build and develop a high-performing senior management team through effective recruitment, leadership, coaching, and retention strategies
Implement robust tracking systems to measure program impact and communicate successes effectively to stakeholders

Fundraising & Communications

Strengthen and diversify revenue streams to support current operations and regional growth while building a sustainable endowment
Elevate all aspects of the Foundation’s communications strategy to create a more compelling and cohesive brand identity
Leverage external relationships and visibility to create new opportunities for growth and impact

Planning & Strategic Expansion

Spearhead the strategic planning process for program expansion throughout the Reno Metro Area and into new markets
Cultivate key partnerships with funders, political leaders, and community stakeholders in expansion territories
Serve as the organization’s public ambassador, effectively communicating program results and positioning the local program as a replicable model for success

Community Organizer

As a Community Organizer Volunteer in Reno, NV, you’ll play a vital role in connecting residents, identifying community needs, and organizing initiatives to address them, all while building relationships and fostering a sense of community.

Key Responsibilities:

Community Engagement:
Actively engage with residents, listen to their concerns, and identify community needs.

Build relationships with community members, organizations, and leaders.

Promote community events and initiatives to increase participation.
Event Planning and Organization:
Assist in planning and organizing community events, such as cleanups, social gatherings, and workshops.

Help with event logistics, including venue setup, promotion, and volunteer coordination.
Advocacy and Outreach:
Advocate for community needs and issues to relevant stakeholders.

Conduct outreach to raise awareness about community resources and opportunities.
Volunteer Management:
Support the recruitment and training of volunteers for community initiatives.

Help with the coordination and scheduling of volunteer activities.
Resource Identification and Access:
Research and identify community resources and services that can address identified needs.

Assist residents in accessing these resources.
Communication and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities and community engagement efforts.

Communicate effectively with residents, volunteers, and stakeholders.

Report on progress of projects and initiatives.

Print-on-Demand Specialist

As a Print-on-Demand (POD) you will play a pivotal role in bringing the inspiring aesthetics and principles of our company to life through eco-friendly, high-quality product offerings. Your contributions will enable artists to showcase their work in a sustainable way, while providing customers with meaningful and tangible connections to the company brand. This role directly supports the virtual and physical marketplace, blending creativity with sustainability.

Core Responsibilities

Artist Collaboration
Partner with participating artists to collect and validate high-resolution artwork files that meet print production standards.
Advise artists on best practices for preparing their work for print (e.g., file formats, resolutions, and color calibration).
Serve as a liaison between artists and print vendors, ensuring their creative vision is maintained throughout the production process.
Quality Assurance
Order, review, and evaluate virtual sample prints from partnered vendors (e.g., Gelato, T-Pop, Printful) to ensure product quality and consistency.
Provide feedback and collaborate with artists to make adjustments to artwork as needed to achieve optimal print results.
Confirm that all products meet high standards of durability, environmental responsibility, and visual excellence.
Sustainable Partnerships
Research, assess, and establish relationships with eco-friendly POD vendors that align with company values (e.g., sustainability, zero waste).
Stay updated on advancements in sustainable printing techniques and suggest new ideas to improve offerings.
Optimize product selections to prioritize eco-friendly options, such as bamboo prints, recycled fabric apparel, or biodegradable packaging.
Product Curation and Storytelling
Write engaging and informative product descriptions that highlight the artistic merit, sustainability, and ethos of each item.
Integrate storytelling into product offerings
Curate themed collections that capture the essence of the company vision, such as “Nature-Inspired Futures” or “Renewable Dreams.”
Inventory and Fulfillment Management
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with vendors to ensure product availability and timely fulfillment during the exhibition.
Maintain an inventory system to track sales, manage order logistics, and prepare fulfillment reports.
Troubleshoot any issues related to product delivery or customer satisfaction during the event.
Innovation and Limited Editions
Propose and develop exclusive merchandise, such as limited-edition signed prints, 3D art prints, augmented reality wearables or interactive items with embedded QR codes.
Experiment with innovative, eco-friendly materials and formats to offer unique, high-impact products.
Collaborate with artists on creating special-edition products tied to key themes of the company.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Technical Expertise: Proven experience with print-on-demand platforms (e.g., Gelato, Printful, Teemill) and familiarity with POD workflows.
Design Knowledge: Basic proficiency in image editing software (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator) and an understanding of file preparation for print production (e.g., color profiles, DPI, vector vs. raster).
Organizational Excellence: Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple artists, vendors, and deliverables.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with a talent for articulating complex processes clearly.
Sustainability Focus: Passion for eco-friendly practices and alignment with regeneration, harmony, and hope principles.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of eco tourism as a cultural and artistic movement, including its aesthetic and philosophical foundations.
Experience in e-commerce, product management, or online marketplaces.
Familiarity with emerging technologies such as blockchain, NFTs, and AI in the context of digital art and sustainability.
